I normally prefer later versions of this song that are played at a faster tempo and have a more epic jam at the end. However this version is just played better than any I've ever heard. It's actually pretty fast for a '72 version. Check out phil especially on this version.

hmmm, didn't really grab me, but not bad ... i'm partial to DP#35 (8/24/71), and much as i hate to say it, 5/8/77, which truly is one of the great BEW

I dig the Europe '72 performances of the song, but that Newcastle show doesn't really start cooking untill the instrumental breaks during Truckin'

The performance of Brown Eyed Women in Copenhagen on 4/14/72 is certainly better in my opinion.

I've been very slowly progressing through the tour. Don't wanna grow tired of it by playing nothing but the E72 box. I've only really listened to the first 3 shows so far. I purposely avoided listening to any of this tour as soon as I heard about the release so it's been awhile since I've heard the rest of the tour.

I think this Newcastle show gets cooking from the 1st set. Bob does some excellent rhythm work on GSET & Deal. I really dig this Deal. The Jed is also fantastic, and Bob again shows off some talent on a good Sugaree.

The PITB is very hot, though only 10 min. LLR is gorgeous. Casey Jones and Good Lovin' are certainly highlights as well!

The 4/14/72 Brown Eyed Women is THE Brown Eyed Women, doesn't really get much better than the one on Europe '72! One of the finest examples i can think of as Phil as a 'third guitarist' - his baselines are so upfront and melodic.

DP 18 and DP 5 are my top dogs. I will check that version out. I really enjoy 1972-12-31 as well.
